A Look at the New 2023 Kia Seltos

Kia is about to launch a new version of the Seltos for 2024, but this doesn’t mean that the current 2023 Seltos is outdated. To the contrary, it remains one of the best options in the sub-compact SUV segment.

Four trim levels and two engines

The 2023 Kia Seltos is offered in four trim levels that are all very well-equipped and affordably priced. This makes it easier for every buyer to find the perfect combination of features, looks, and price to fit their needs. The entry-level LX and the upmarket EX are both available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations while the more expensive EX Premium and SX Turbo models come standard with the AWD system. Every version of the Seltos except the SX Turbo is powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that makes 146 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an IVT continuously variable transmission, this powertrain makes the Seltos very efficient. The other engine available in the Seltos is a 1.6L turbocharged engine that delivers 175 horsepower and 195 horsepower to the wheels via a very quick 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

All of the connectivity features buyers want

The 2023 Kia Seltos is a modern SUV due to its extensive list of connectivity features that help drivers and passengers feel at home even when out on the road. Some of these technologies include the standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an available 10.25-inch touchscreen, Kia Connect connected services, a Bose premium audio system, a head-up display, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.

Equipped to make life easier

The 2023 Kia Seltos continues to make life easier for its drivers by offering a large array of desirable features such as ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, Highway Drive Assist, lane-keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and Safe Exit Assist, among many others. This last feature is especially useful if children are often in the backseat because it prevents them from opening a door if another vehicle, a cyclist, or a pedestrian is in the way.
