Today, Kia America disclosed details about the highly anticipated 2024 EV9. With its reputation for top-notch performance, the EV9 showcases a captivating design, plush interior, ample space, towing capability, and fast charging. It comes equipped with the latest in-vehicle tech, like over-the-air updates and Digital Features and Services, ensuring a forever-progressing driving journey.

The exterior of the EV9 resonates confidence befitting its position as a premier SUV. It boasts a notable design that emphasizes its extensive 310.3 cm wheelbase. Given its dimensions of 501.5 cm in length (501.1 cm for other versions) and 197.9 cm in width, it slightly edges out the Telluride SUV. Still, it achieves a drag coefficient of 0.28, aligning with other high-end electric SUVs.

Within the EV9 lies Kia's state-of-the-art E-GMP platform and the most advanced battery technology. Initially, the EV9 presents two powertrain options. The basic one features a 76.1 kWh battery paired with a 215 hp motor for the rear wheels. Alternatively, there's the 99.8 kWh battery variant, which either comes with a single 201hp motor targeting a 483 km electric range or a two-motor 379hp configuration producing up to 516 lb-ft of torque. All models will have several driving modes.

Leveraging Kia's E-GMP platform, the EV9 provides ultra-rapid charging through its 800V electrical setup, allowing it to charge from 10 to 80% in under 25 minutes.

In terms of interiors, the EV9 takes cues from the critically acclaimed Telluride, ensuring passengers experience luxury and relaxation. The interior exudes warmth with earthy shades and employs innovative materials that are both eco-friendly and exude luxury.

Kia's modern Connected Car Navigation Cockpit enhances the EV9's onboard experience. This system ensures greater fidelity and swifter processing. Pioneering over-the-air updates in Kia's lineup and featuring usual integrations like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the EV9 truly stands out.

An added dimension to the EV9's tech prowess is its focus on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Key among these features is the soon-to-be-introduced Advanced Highway Driving Assist (AHDA), harnessing LiDAR technology to make highway commutes both safer and more efficient.
