2012 Kia Rio Reviews

2012 Kia Rio Review - National Post, Toronto

Indeed, the Rio's message is fairly simple: You can have more, you can have it for the same low, low price and we can wrap it up in a surprisingly stylish package at no extra cost. I suspect that, whether it's the pugnacious little Rio5 or this, its four-door sibling, that's a message that will gain some traction.

2012  Kia Rio Review - Globe and Mail, Toronto

Things just got a little more interesting in the subcompact market. In addition to a flurry of new models entering the fray - Hyundai Veloster, Chevrolet Sonic, Scion iQ, Mini Cooper Coupe, etc. - Kia has launched its latest remake of the Rio hatchback. It joins a slightly revamped Soul in Kia's 2012 entry-level stable.

2012 Kia Rio Review - Toronto Star

Witness the third-generation 2012 Kia Rio5, where along with being longer and wider than its predecessor, you'll find a heated steering wheel on its options list ? a feature usually reserved for $100,000 German luxobarges. You shouldn't be too shocked, though.

2012 Kia Rio Sedan Review - Globe and Mail, Toronto

2012 Kia Rio Hatchback - Toronto Sun

Introduced at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the 2012 Rio will again be available in sedan and hatchback models in North America (Europe gets three-door and five-door bodystyles, but a North American sedan is due to launch at the 2011 New York show), with a body that's wider, lower and longer (riding on a longer wheelbase). The overall dimensions significantly increase passenger and cargo space.

2012 Kia Rio Sedan Review - National Post, Toronto
Following the introduction of the Rio5 hatchback this summer, Kia will add a four-door sedan version in the fall. As with the hatch, the sedan rides on a longish 2,570-millimetre wheelbase, which brings surprising space for a subcompact ride.
